Originally we had written a graduation scene, but it wasn't very funny and felt out of place. And in regard to the teaching note, there were a few instances where we felt it would work (August graduation, it being a year-round school, etc).

Hey guys, just finished reading it, thought it was cool. I noted the scenes and jokes that I did/didn't like so:

Pg 1 - "Stanky leg" stuff was funny.

Pg 2 - "I'm not my dad and I hold myself to a high standard." It's constantly reinforced that he's not like his dad so if he said, "Well, I'm not my dad," and built from there It be more natural.

Pg 5 - I don't like the tuba joke. You guys write funny jokes and that one felt forced.

Pg 7 -" Louis C.K." The entire page was well done.

Pg 8 - Tremayne is funny in every scene he appears. So consider this praise for every Tremayne scene henceforth.

Pg 13 - Petey Pablo and Nick Cannon. Great stuff.

Pg 15 - Terry is reminiscent of Bill Dauterive from King of Hill, and I love Bill so that's a compliment.

So why didn't you guys show their actual graduation? I'm fine with it, just curious. And would Darnell start teaching a week after graduation? wouldn't he until the fall before beginning? I don't know, I just thought it was premature to start that quickly. Uh, other than that I liked it. The tweets are original, hopefully another show doesn't adopt that model.

Thanks Nicholas,

We're glad you liked it.

Yeah, Madison is a recurring character. It was really difficult to highlight each of the three characters and their relationship with their parents AND introduce her without it seeming awkward.

Thanks for your comment.
We'll be sure to check out your script.

Great job! The structure of the script is solid, and the characters are super likable. I especially love the relationship between Darnell and his dad. So perfect, haha. Favorite part was when he was asking the kids what their dreams were. "I wanna be a vet." "Wrong."

Would be cool to see a girl as one of the main set of friends. Maybe that's Madison at the end...?
