ABOUT THE WEBSITE
Storyboard TV (the website) is an interactive, online community for scriptwriters, producers, and TV enthusiasts where writers cans share scripts and solicit
feedback.
Twice a year, the site holds competitions for the best new television pilot. During this time, every script entered into competition is made public for our members
to read and critique. Our writers are encouraged to use member feedback when revising their scripts before moving ahead to the next round of judging.
Once a panel of industry professionals narrows the writer pool down to three finalists, it's up to the members of this community to read the rewrites and vote for
a winner.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Storyboard TV (the company) was founded in October 2009 by partners Rachel Levy and Andrew Levinson in order to find, cultivate, and promote new stories
and new writers for television drama. To that end, we option the ten semi-finalist scripts in every competition.
Our goal is to work with writers in developing their scripts, and then help place these scripts with production companies and/or agents eager to run with them. In
certain cases, we offer management contracts to those writers who we feel have exceptional potential. In doing so, we hope to help these writers benefit from our extensive industry network and experience.
ABOUT THE PEOPLE
Rachel Levy, President: Rachel began her career as a producer in film, theater, and television ten years ago as the Coordinator of the 5th International Shorts
Film Festival. Since then, she’s developed and produced theater in New York City as well as television shows for networks including National Geographic
and Discovery. Rachel is a founding member of The Tank, NY’s premiere performance venue for emerging artists, and now proudly sits on its Advisory
Board. She is also a graduate of Yale University’s Class of 2000 with a BA in Film.
Andrew Levinson, Founding Member: A practiced attorney and business development professional, Andrew has extensive experience in the realm of
start-ups. As the Managing Director of Riverside Strategic Advisors LLC, he has worked with companies in a variety of industries, including real estate, hospitality, and biotechnology. Andrew helps his clients raise capital, launch successfully, and grow strategically. He holds a BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
